Hello all! And welcome to a very special edition of The Daily Escape Podcast.
"Living With ALS - Please Don‘t Wait for Someday Podcast with Special Guest Christine Gilmore Episode 17."
As you know, I've been interviewing and sharing insights from people who have made an impact in my own life through my "People Who Inspire Us To Be More - To Do More" series.
By interviewing others facing challenges, battling a serious illness, and even those who've come face to face with death and lived to tell about how they made it through - I have found these completely unexpected, life-altering, delicately pivotal moments of change and transformation that happen within as a deeply personal process is revealed through their eyes.
I hope by sharing their stories, their hope, their inspiration, but also their challenges, their fears, and even their bitter, ugly truths - that we might illuminate topics that are often hidden from view or simply not discussed because we are afraid of the answers we might receive.
Today, we have the honor of speaking with someone I want to welcome to The Daily Escape Podcast with arms and eyes wide open, not just because she is my cousin and I love her, but because she is truly one of the most inspirational, strong, remarkably resilient women that I know.
I've asked the tough questions about her journey with ALS and I can't wait to share her answers and her journey with you all as well. And maybe by doing so, we will all have the chance to grow in ways we never, ever expected.
If this podcast speaks to you on a profound level as it did me, let's do our part in helping those with disabilities, specifically those battling ALS by contacting your local, state, and federal legislators and demanding the changes that need to be made! That's the LEAST they deserve!
If you'd like to check out my book "Love, Sam" on Amazon that I wrote about a friend of mine that passed away from ALS as well, please do so below. I've included the blurb as well. I hope it touches your heart as a reader as much as it did mine while writing it.

As he begins to recover from his injuries, he accepts there will be hard times along the way, and that not every day will be easy to endure.
What he couldn't have imagined were the heartbreaking adversities he'd soon be forced to face or the incredible blessings that would transpire as this touching story unfolds.
After meeting the love of his life, Addyson Montgomery, as she literally came crashing through the doors of his Psych 101 class, she stormed her way straight into his life and forever into his heart.
As they begin planning and dreaming of a beautiful future together, they receive a phone call that changes everything.
